Dr. Stephen C. Trainer

Founder

Stephen founded the Graffiti Ministries Learning Center in Brooklyn in 2015 and has been helping adult learners prepare for the GED, grow in literacy, and take steps toward lasting life change ever since. With over two decades of experience in ministry and education, he is committed to serving under-resourced communities and believes transformation begins by meeting people where they are.

He holds degrees in organizational leadership, public administration, and education. Stephen is known for his relational approach in the classroom and his dedication to learners who are often left behind by traditional systems. In addition to his work with GMLC, he serves as a missionary with Graffiti Ministries, combining faith, education, and practical service.

When he is not teaching or speaking, Stephen can be found reading widely, cheering on local schools, or spending time with his wife and children in New York City.
